Hightlighted Areas of Our Practice

OUTSIDE GENERAL COUNSEL (OGC) SERVICES
We provide focused, cost-effective counsel to OGC business clients on legal issues that confront them daily. Through this monthly subscription service, your business receives personalized and customized advice for solutions to your problems. Since we develop a close relationship with you and your team, we understand your operations, your history, and your aims as we guide you on legal issues.

We coordinate and oversee your legal efforts concerning commercial contracts, corporate governance (board and shareholder resolutions, etc.), capital raises, employment matters, executive compensation issues, trademarks, copyrights, litigation, ADR, and real estate matters.

FORECLOSURE DEFENSE

Receiving notice that your lender is trying to foreclose on your home can be overwhelming. Many think foreclosure is their only option when it’s not. Fighting back against the lender to either slow the foreclosure process or stop it completely is important. In some cases, the lender skips the proper paperwork and/or the documents were improperly endorsed. If such a case, they may have no right to claim your home. You should consider hiring us to assist you. We have helped homeowners residing in Maryland, Washington D.C. Metro Area, Pennsylvania and New York. Let us help you too!

LITIGATION
If you or your business is sued or if you are considering bringing a suit against a business or another person, please reach out to our seasoned litigation team for a free consultation. In all litigation cases (with the exceptions noted below where you pay no attorney fees), we pride ourselves on winning cases and achieving positive outcomes for our clients. In addition, we charge reasonable and highly competitive hourly billing rates, and we don’t nickel-and-dime you on our bills like many law firms do.

In certain personal injury and business collection cases, you will only pay our out-of-pocket costs and no attorney’s fees unless we recover a judgment, settlement, or other payment on your behalf to compensate you. Our highly skilled litigation team has obtained positive outcomes for clients in a variety of civil actions as both defendants and plaintiffs. When you need a lawyer, call us.

SHORT SALES
For some homeowners, a short sale is an alternative to foreclosure. During a short sale, the lender agrees to accept less money on a home than the total amount still owed. While a short sale affects credit scores, the impact is less significant than foreclosing on your home. Contrary to its name, the short sale process can be quite lengthy. However, with our help, you may be able to avoid going into foreclosure

GENERAL BUSINESS LAW
We practice a variety of business law matters throughout for many small to medium-sized businesses. Our attorneys guide clients through business formations, corporate governance, employment practices, business financings, leases and other contract formation and review, real estate purchases and financing, trademarks, copyrights, and a variety of other business matters.

FAMILY LAW
We practice family law in Maryland and the District of Columbia.  As attorneys that have been through the process of divorce personally, we are understanding and compassionate advocates for the rights of our clients, men and women alike. We occupy a unique niche in the family law field. We combine the practical skills of seasoned litigators with personal knowledge of the family law process.

REAL ESTATE LAW
Whether you are buying, selling or refinancing, when you need a seasoned real estate attorney, we are here for you. We also work as the law firm for our partner company, Michaels Title & Escrow, a full-service title company in Rockville, MD that offers title insurance and real estate closing services. We also support our REALTOR® and Loan Officer clients with sound legal guidance, timely responses and the tools you need to do your job better.
