Alexei M. Silverman graduated from Harvard Law School, cum laude, in 1996. After a judicial clerkship for Judge Suzanne B. Conlon on the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois, Alexei moved to the Washington, D.C. area. For over a decade, he practiced complex civil litigation at Am Law 100 law firms, including the prominent law firm of Covington & Burling, where he specialized in defending mass tort and toxic tort claims in state and federal courts nationwide, as well as related insurance coverage actions. Alexei also headed the litigation training program for junior to mid-level associates.

Alexei is admitted and routinely practices in DC and Maryland state and federal courts on real estate law, breach of contract disputes (both commercial and residential), defense of Brokers and real estate agents before state commissions, procuring cause, and litigation ranging from family law to general practice. He practices and supervises a team appearing in the Circuit Court for Montgomery County, Rockville District Court, the United States District Courts for Maryland (Greenbelt and Baltimore), D.C. Superior Court, and the United States District Court for the District of Columbia.

Alexei obtained a B.A. from Rice University, magna cum laude/Phi Beta Kappa, in 1992.
