Peter Martino, Esq.

Of Counsel – DC and New York

Peter Martino, Esq, is a highly distinguished and well-respected litigation and complex business/ commercial negotiations attorney.  With over twenty years of experience as both a general counsel and as CEO of several highly successful international technology and retail businesses, and the recipient of recognition consecutively as a leader in the Inc. 5000 list of the nation’s fastest growing businesses, he is a force to be reckoned with. Peter has further facilitated, marketed, and overseen the successful due diligence from company birth through private equity stages through the sale of several companies, and ultimately achieved a $30 million sale of one of his companies, a high-tech company, to a French public company.  That was after overseeing the legal and business aspects of that international M&A deal together with intense negotiations and the ultimate choice of purchaser among five bidders.

While living in and surviving September 11, 2001 in NYC, Peter, who is a Naval Academy graduate and served a Nuclear Submarine Officer during the last years of the Cold War, became immediately inspired to serve his country again. Fulfilling this ambition, in 2003, the President of the United States directly appointed Peter Martino to serve as the first Chief Operating Officer for the Office of Critical Infrastructure Protection at the U.S. Department of Homeland Security.  After serving his country again in this meaningful way, he decided to pursue his life-long dream of becoming an attorney and attended one of the top law schools in the country, Georgetown Law in Washington, DC., from which he graduated cum laude in 2007.

Peter invested three strong early years as an attorney as a highly successful litigator with one of the nation’s top firms, Quinn, Emanuel Urquhart, and Sullivan, in New York City.  Peter primarily focused his practice on highly sophisticated, challenging litigation. He served as the first chair litigator in several smaller cases while becoming well known for his leadership and teamwork in helping win major cases for many larger clients including Nokia, Home Depot, Access Industries, Mattel, and NFL Properties.

Peter, who was raised in the Main Line suburbs of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, is admitted to the New York Supreme Court, the United States District Court for the Eastern District of New York, and the D.C. Superior Court.  Peter obtained a B.S. in Systems Engineering from the U.S. Naval Academy, where he graduated with merit in 1985.  He currently resides just miles away from the Naval Academy in Annapolis, MD with his four younger children.  His oldest daughter lives in Texas with her husband and his beautiful granddaughter.
